DR 800 FUEL PUMP
« on: September 19, 2016, 08:34:25 am »
If my fuel pump should decide to give up during a trip , is there a way to bypass it or gyppo it and carry on ? Or should I invest in a spare ?

Not sure about the DR Big but I remember my Honda VF1100C having issues running on gravity feed. The bike would occasionally die just like running out of petrol. Only occasionally, in general it ran fine with gravity feed from the upper tank. Don't ask me why, I never figured it out before I replaced the pump :D

If you still have the OEM fuel pump maybe get a generic one and put it in and stop worrying for the next ten years.

Jy worry in elkgeval al weer oor nonsense.

I think my mechanic gets all my DR750 parts from them. Good service and reasonable prices.
