Which is more reliable new LC adventure or the old one ?
« on: September 22, 2016, 09:16:16 am »
Hi guys, I'm contemplating getting a new LC Adventure to replace my 07 Adventure. Have most of the LC issues been sorted out yet ? ( loose clutch bolt, switches breaking etc ) If my old bike is more reliable then I will rather keep her instead.I have ridden the standard LC a few times and find the throttle a tad too sensitive for my liking  ::) .Opinions will be greatly appreciated  :deal:

Had '08 GSA awesome bike now a '15 GSA and aproxemately 25000km on the clock, I had no issues what so ever so far.
the throttle response is much more sensitive, you will get used to it very quickly and you can also play with the different modes that
will also help.  :ricky:

I've had issues with switches on both my '14 and '16 GSA LC. '16 has also broken screen adjuster arm, a known problem with these bikes. Was taken care of under warranty in all instances.

Would I go back to oilhead? No way!

Got my demo Trophy yesterday, crash bars and headlight guard were my extras.  Not sure I would really benefit from the gear assist pro for the price tag.  If it were R2k I would have done it but not at over R6k

They didn't have one on the floor without the shifter  Price I was quoted is R 5000 @ Zambesi

If you go on www.bavarianmc.co.za you can see the prices for most kit.  The gear assist is R6600 plus some change, maybe it's the software and labour pushing the price up?

I have a '15 GSA for about a month now, traded in a 2012.
Apart from the crap gear changes 1-2-3rd it is a awesome machine!! I must say i think I am getting the hang of it or maybe just use to it!!??
When its cold it chance much better, maybe someone can give me some insight why that is?
But overall loving it and will not go back.

Try revving it a little between changes, I found that helped smooth out the changes, although I am not sure why
