O. something I forgot to mention. I was riding the nice winding roads of Virginia when all of a sudden I saw a cop car in my mirror and lights and sirens and the works. When I stopped he came walking up to me with his gun at the ready. I was very friendly but he did not find it funny. Apparently he was chasing me. How? Well, with me enjoying the beautiful tress and roads, I picked up speed on the Versys monster and after a mile or 2 of him chasing me and already organizing a roadblock down the road, I stopped. He was furious. My laughing at the matter did not help either.

But after a while he realized that I was no problem and we ended up chatting for more than an hour and he telling me about roads I would love with the bike. I did however receive my ticket (going 68 in a 45 zone) but he felt very sorry and apologized. There was a rally in the area and they had a no tolerance stand for the weekend. He thought I was one of them. So he brought the speed down to 60 miles. As he already also informed all of his buddies to catch me he also could not do anything about the ticket.

O well, that is that. Must say the first thing I thought when I saw him was who the hell is he chasing? I looked in front of me to see who it was as I could recall I was alone on the road. Then I dawned on me it must be me. Sjoe, I felt bad as now I got a point against my name and insurance goes up, and ? Bottom line, it is not nice.

I tried to blame the Versys also.

Please.
Be careful of the words you say.
And keep them soft and sweet.
For you never know from day to day.
Which ones you'll have to eat.
