Ja.

So here's the question. Is the 2017 gearbox so much improved that i need to sell my 2015 and take a 20k loss to upgrade or do i pay 6k for a quickshifter on my current scoot? How big would the difference be beteween 1.standard 2015, 2. 2015 with quickshifter vs the 2017?

Side lights have nothing to do with turning, they are for side-on visibility and is an EU regulation. I don't think the SA version has those lights fitted.

So hier is wat jy nou doen.

1. Bel verkoopsman
4. jy gaan vir hom se jy gaan CPA trek

sien wat se hy

Ek sal bietjie my buddy my BMW sa vra wat aan gaan

Play around with the setup menu when the bike is on stopped in neutral

I recall my ex GSA had the auto lights feature in the setup menu.  The dealer default is to set the lights on all the time whereas you can change that and make the running light on during good daylight, the headlight comes on when light is needed.

Hopefully I understood your post correctly as reading Afrikaans is not that easy for this Rooinek

I just had a conversation with Matthew from Auto Alpina. He will do some research and get back to us on exactly what it is, how it works, and if they even are turning lights to start off with.

Seems I must have misunderstood for now, as the 1600 have something that they clearly refer to as adaptive lighting, as in a BMW Sedan. But no mention of this in our manuals.

Similarly, on the other side, the dealers also have no idea for now as to why there are two lights that seem to be two in any event, that are not working under any conditions. They will revert back to me on this as well.

They also tried to get the brake light activated and did some testing on the R21 in this regard, but SA simply has no means to get this working, he says...

Anyway, for what its worth...

Right so feedback from my buddy at BMW SA (short comment as he is in Germany at the moment)

Itís the new 2017 spec on the New models, they just reflectors on the front forks, its really only for Euro4 laws for safety on the motorcycles.

Yes just reflectors, its nothing fancy at allÖ.

The last bit is after I asked him if its actual LED lights or what. Said he will try to snap a shot for us

I noticed the new reflectors, yes, but the manual explicitly states that the side lights turn on and off. So the manual is referring to something else...

Ok he admits he read my emails to quickly. Decypher the below at your own discretion  :imaposer:

The side lights in the owners manual is actually like your park lights on the Motorcycle

If I connect the bike up to the Diagnostic machine and the park light picked up a fault, is known as a side light

What I will do is if a bike has a stored fault of a park light I will take a picture and forward it to you

if we cant figure this out via mail I will ask him to come see me when he is back in december  :patch:
