"Hail" the Adventurer

Baie kort en vinnige rr.  Het gister oggend besluit om middagete in Haenertsburg te gaan eet en oppad soontoe, gesien hoe die wolke oor die berge aan daai kant saampak.  Ek het geweet ons gaan dalk reŽn oppad terug kry, maar het nie wetsuits ingepak nie.

Die Spring Festival was nog aan die gang, en nadat ons deur die stalletjies gestap en by Minki's geŽet het, het die eerste druppels geval.  Ek het vir Stoffies gesÍ ons moet maar opsaal en ry, aan Polokwane se kant van die berg is dit dalk droog, dan sal ons amper droog by die huis aankom.

Ons was deurnat toe ons die pas aan die westekant afsak na Moria toe, met water wat uit my boots stroom.  Skielik voel ek hoe Stoffies agter my wip, toe slaan 'n haelkorrel my teen die vingers, toe op die helmet, en toe orals.  Ry ons binne-in 'n haelstorm in.  Daar is geen plek om af te trek nie, en ons beur aan tot ek iets sien wat soos 'n boom lyk, sonder blare en feitlik geen beskerming kan bied nie.  Stoffies duik onder die laagste takke in en toe slaan daai korrels my bleddie hard.  Daar is geen ander skuilplek nie, toe neem ek maar die fotos.

'n Ander biker en sy vrou op hul HD was reeds daar, en ek en hy gesels toe sommer so tussen die houe deur, want ek kan niks anders doen nie.

Toe die ergste verby was, trek ons maar weer weg, en in Polokwane kry ek vrek koud, maar die son skyn plek-plek en voor ons in Naboom is, is ons klere droog.  Net die boots was nog nat.

Dis was nou 'n ander soort avontuur op ons fiets!!!

Stoffies het 'n paar blou kolle op haar bo-bene, maar die ry-baadjies het ons darem beskerm oor ons bo-lywe.  ATGATT bo!!!

Ek kan myself net in leef, het al in erge reen en donerweer in gery met 'n bike maar nog nie in erge hael nie.  :imaposer: :imaposer:

Jy skrik jouself raak as daai eerste korrels jou piets.  Brand soos vuur.  Ons het so 70km/h gery, omdat dit so hard gereen het, en ja, teen daai spoed het die houe lekker gebrand. ;D

My fiets se spieeltjie stukken geslaan.

Jy kan in elk geval niks sien om verder te ry nie, maar ons sin was so erg dat ek kon nie die bome langs die pad sien om te stop nie.

Lekker storie om te vertel.

Gelukkig gaan die blou kolle later weg, maar die topbox is maar redelik sag bo-op en het 'n paar duike gekry.  Verder het die fiets niks oorgekom nie, dankie tog.
