Triumph Adventure Training Day
6 November 2016

Triumph Motorcycles South Africa and I-RIDE invites you to the Triumph Adventure Training Day to be held on Sunday the 6h of November 2016

All Triumph riders and friends welcome!

This training day is specifically aimed at giving you an opportunity to learn the fundamental skills needed to go off-road riding in a safe environment under the instruction of accredited instructors.

No previous off-road experience is needed!

If you have done off-road riding before, but want to learn these skills, you are also welcome.

There will be 2 courses on the day:

Course 1 :
BASIC LEVEL -  to Off Road Riding
This course is at a slower pace and everyone can do this.
(Compatible bikes, Tiger 1050, Tiger 955, Tiger 800, Tiger 800 XRX, Tiger 800 XC, XCX, Tiger 1200 Explorer)

This course is aimed at the very basics of off road riding with little or no experience.

We will cover up to 6 exercises on the day.

Riders position on the motorcycle,
Warmup exercises,
U turn Technique - 7m block
5m Cone riding – Weight distribution
Riding parallel logs – 2 Meters long
Bike balance and control
Basic Braking Exercise
Non-Technical Ride

Course 2 :
LEVEL ONE  -  Off Road Riding Course

This course is aimed at Riders who attended any previous Triumph  and Adventure Courses.
This course is at faster pace and is more demanding than Course one.

We will cover up to 6 exercises on the day.
Riders position on the motorcycle,
Warmup exercises,
Figure of Eight Technique - 5-6 m block
3.5 Meter Cone riding – Weight distribution
Riding parallel logs - 6-7 Meters long
Sand Riding - Weight distribution and Turning
Fast Emergency Braking Exercises
Acceleration Techniques
Hill Climbs
Hill Descents
Jump an obstacle
Jump a Pothole
Technical Ride.


The focus is still to learn the basics in a controlled environment which will not put you or your motorcycle at risk.

The day will run as follows:

• Registration and coffee will take place from 07:30.
• Rider Briefing and Welcome at 08:00
• Training will commence at 09:00

• Lunch break around 12:00 – 12:45
• After lunch at 12:45 – 14:30 Training and Rides.

• Handing out of certificates from 14h45 - 15h15.
• Canteen will be available on the day

And as always, please feel free to bring along a partner/friend. We don't mind if he or she is not on a Triumph.

Pricing:

BASIC LEVEL -  Intro to Off Road Riding - R550-00

LEVEL ONE  -  Off Road Riding Course – R750-00

Prices are per rider,  which includes refreshments and lunch.

Pillions/partners are more than welcome @ R120 pp.

Pre-booking is essential as space is limited.
There will be no entries accepted on the day.
Entries close on the  1th of November 2016.




Directions:

Venue: Leeuwenkloof Environmental Facility

GPS Coordinates: S 25°49.026  E 27°49.947 (Decimal, minutes, seconds format)

Travel towards the Hartbeespoort  Dam on the R512, Turn left on the R104 Road, travel for 4 km turn left on the D400 Road (Hartbeeshoek Road ) travel for 3km and turn left into the Leeuwenkloof Environmental Facility just before the ADA Training Facilities.
Triumph Signage will be on the left hand side of the road.
Follow the gravel road for 2km to the main reception area. Registrations will be at the Lapa.
