Balance shaft on KTM LC640 question

A friend of mine is trying to fix his son's bike.  It sounded like a big end bearing rattling but on stripping he found some play on the balancer shaft.  The video shows the play on the shaft but of course with the cover removed the shaft is only supported on one side.  However, this does not look right to me.  Is there anyone here who knows if this is a normal amount of play?
