I travelled this route in reverse a few years back and swore never ever ever again. Alas, it is a lot shorter than going around the top of Lesotho despite the fact my lower blood pressure will allow me to live longer.
Dordrecht, Elliot, McLear, Mt Fletcher, Matatiele, Kokstad, Umzimkulu, Cato Ridge and return.
Anybody travelled the above route or parts thereof recently? I will be traveling with a loaded bakkie. Road conditions, riots/unrest/burning tyre probability, other relevant info will be much appreciated.
