Howzit guys,

I'm Michael. I just started riding 3 months ago, I ride a baby KTM 390 Duke. She's my 1st bike :)

Hoping to buy either an F800GS soon.

Looking forward to the chats, banter and advice!

welcome, nice little bike, but it didn't fit me when I tried one out. 👍

It is a bit small for me, I'm 1.87m and 86kg, but I needed to ease myself into ridig before getting on a beast that I can't tame.  :biggrin:

I took delivery of my 2012 R1200GS Triple Black this morning.

Much better bike than the little 390 Duke :D

I also went from 400cc Jap cruiser    to a 990 SMT   To an 1190 in like 2 years haha    Steep learning curve. Take it easy and enjoy!!!

When the 390 first blew the head gasket in December, they loaned me an 1190 ADV S for 2 weeks. THAT was a learning curve. I rode to Klerksdorp, Cullinan and Harties.

The BMW's power is nothing on the KTM, I hit 246km/h and the bike still had the guts to go faster.

But I'm happy with the beemer and I'm learning quickly. I bought this one for reliability :)
