Dr200 headlight and front fender
« on: November 03, 2016, 11:26:04 am »
Hi guys

I am picking up a 2009 dr200 tomorrow.

I need to sort out a few things on it and appreciate any suggestions.

1. The headlight cowling is broken - thinking of replacing it with a polisport halo. Where could I get a blue or white one in WC?

There is also the option of putting on a motrix argon at R435 but it looks like it may be a bit ugly. Not that the dr is a thing of great beauty

2. I also have to replace the base gasket - can I do it myself or is it a little tricky?

3. The front fender is very ugly - I was thinking that the white polisport halo light with a white yz front fender would sharpen it up. Do you think I could MAKE the yz fender fit somehow?

Thanks for your help

Speak to LeCap here on WD for the base gasket. (He's in CT)

He might also have some DR 200 spares.

If not, use the Polisport universal headlight and even a Polisport fender.

As the front wheel is 21", a Polisport fender should fit. Take the old fender with to compare. You might need to trim the rear of the fender.

Thanks chopperpilot - so when you say polisport fender you mean the yz fender right?

So what front fender did you get in the end? I'm looking to improve my dr350 fender with a new white one but proving hard to find a white UFO one.

Sorry I missed this post - it was very simple - if I remember correctly I had to drill two holes to line up the screws and didn't even have to shim it to get the angle right
