Fellow dogs. On Friday afternoon, in go slow traffic on the N2, near Liesbeek Parkway, I was another victim of the "I never saw you" curse. Cruising at 40km/hr in the middle lane, an uninsured gentleman saw the gap between me and the car in front of me, lurched wildly right, knocking me and my recently purchased BMW1200GS along the tarmac. I bought the bike, bike jacket (padded) and Leat kneck brace with Leo Vince exhaust at the same time.
With summer approaching, it's very tempting, for those 'quick trips' to forego the sweaty jacket, and kneck brace. 2 days in Vincent Palotti, and the doc saying the if it weren't for the brace, shoulder and elbow protection, my injuries would have been more severe.
It's not worth it, think about the ones you kiss good bye, waiting for you to come home. Wear your protection. Not negotiable. I'm glad I did! Next purchase, side spots.
