I believe this bike is in a class of its own, maybe Honda will get close with itís AT700 if it ever gets built but Iím afraid conservative Honda will load it with weight and electronics. Aprilia Tuareg seems interesting as well

Dont sell yourself short, I know you have don extensive riding on your 790 and also knows you will do a honest review without the endless diplomatic bs the official testers do.

Weird how Chris Birch rides a 1190/1090 over some pebbles, and it is the best bike out there, while along comes a guy that actually, for the first time ever, does a pukka hard-enduro act on a Yamaha 700cc twin D/S

bike, and it is nothing, the suspension has been modified, etc.

Telling you, this T7 is something else. Just too much raving on the net for it not to be.
KTMís are ready to race donít forget that no one else dare steal some thunder

Dankie tog, somebody came along and snatched a 19th consecutive Dakar victory from that pesky KTM`s.
No wait, that was Honda... :peepwall:

Basically no kicker, so with a ramp like the T7 had.....For sure possible  https://www.instagram.com/p/B9-muL3BNX4/

And it didn't sound broken when it came down haha

I don't doubt for a moment that the 790 would do everything the T7 can.
I don't think anyone disputes that the 790 is a more capable, more performance orientated bike than the T7. That said, I also haven't seen anyone claim that the T7 is supposed to be a performance machine. It is supposed to be a good adventure riding platform and by all accounts it succeeds there.
- you reckon that thing will pop a wheelie? We're about to find out, SLAP that pig!

790 is too ugly, R50000 and 100cc more so why compare it with the beautifull T7 ? Anyway next year all the ready to racers will be on 890ís and Nordens and the 790 will be forgotten like a Christmas toy. Like Jamie Robinson said the T7 is a game changer, affordable DS bike doing tricks putting KTMís to shame  :pot:
Fuck youíre right. Weíll be on Nordens before we get the T7 in SA

The Japs withdrew about 18 years ago, and KTM has been racing Dakar against themselves. Until Honda decided to come back and mug KTM.

They did, surprised me.
I regard that as a sign of desperate times for H, throwing their weight - and good riders! - around to reclaim what they consider 'theirs'!
They managed to do that this time.... but wait, there will be more in future, so let's see where that leads them & KTM!
My guess is KTM will bounce back with a vengeance...
Interesting indeed!  :thumleft:
