That's about R16k more than the comparable KTM.

So a KTM 450 SX-F is R133 000-00 (base price, don't know if it means you can haggle) and a YZ450-F is R150 000-00.

KTM is $10 500 in the US
YZ is $9399  :o

Ja nee if the T7 is expensive locally we know it's not just down to the R/$  :'(

I know it has become a foreign concept, but with Yamaha you get quality, not knock-offs as on the European brands.

With the WR or the T7 you'll for instance get a quality shock absorber as standard equipment.

Vat so!

Quality of not..... Yamaha prices are above the average salary bracket for most youngsters and mid life toppies....
No wonder sales are not good.

Buy bye bye T7....  Think I'll go to the dark side......  ;)

Sadly I think Yamaha and Bidvest are making shareholders happy over building and maintaining a great historic brand. I think the T7 will sell to those who can afford it. Lots will want it me included but it will be out of reach. No doubt they will sell a few And it seems a race to Find one on the second hand market with extras already fitted...

Don't be part of the sheeple.
You are not buying anything close to the suspension used in Mxgp or Dakar.

Your Ronts is either buying you WP Exact forks or KYB SSS.

It's a well known fact the KTM Dakar bikes all have Ohlins inserts in WP tubes.

Never said my bikes have Dakar/ MXGP suspension, did i?

Does seem like KYB can't cut it in top competition though.

More Euro tech then. Give us a link to that interesting info.

Do their MXGP bikes also run this mix?

Euro tech that belonged to Yamaha for the past 25 years, and only recently Ohlins has bought back most of their own shares from Yamaha.

Yes but so is 2SD so I'm using his logic.

On the 790 you get MORE suspension of higher performance and adjustability....this is a fact.    Some guys had a leaky seal on the rear shock, which is easily fixed, under warranty for no money.    But that makes all the suspension bad quality??   Lol.

Fanboys gonna Fanboy.

Yamaha uses cheaper components and manufacturing techniques and so the bike is (should be cheaper). I don't know where you get the idea it's higher quality.
