Dwerg, if they were both the same price, the T7 would lose out quite a lot.

I say this based on, and it does not matter whether someone like myself hates electronic aids on a bike, it is still value added.

Yamaha could maybe have made the T7 available as a "X" model, also laden with e-aid like the 790, as that appeals to a different market.

Fanboy stuff aside, personally I would take the T7 if it was the same price as the 790. I say this with long and affordable ownership in mind.

Exactly!  :ricky:

Also rhymes with boring.

Well after riding bikes for over 56yrs, racing MX for 2 of those and Enduro for about 10, boring is probably what I should be looking at. I have also had my share of KTMs, the best in my book is still the 300's 2Ts.
Boring, think you can ride a T7 to it's full capabilities or the bike you have now????

Not at all, what I meant by boring was riding the same bike for the rest of your life. That said, I will probably never sell my 990  :ricky:

What do you think Kawasaki is going to show us on the 23rd November and do you think it will add an extra choice to the few we have so far?

3 of the 6 have spokes...

Well if Kawa can slip in a modern KLR or T7 rival they are damn good at keeping secrets ! Not holding my breath but who knows.

Let's not go to dealers, you mos see how the KTM okes vloek theirs. :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:

Triumph is almost gone, Honda hardly here, Harley is teetering on the brink, Royal Enfield only has warranty service centres left, BMW dealerships no respectable person will enter,

Suzuki has a few dealerships left, Vespa is a scooter, Ducati dissolved with only an oilstain left behind, geez, is anyone buying new bikes anymore??

With Yamaha you only need the dealer to buy the bike, it does not have to go back again for warranty kak.

On the 701 I have had several people make remarks like; "Wow, jy vat nie kak nie", en dis net omdat hulle sien ek ry n 701, nie HOE ek ry nie.
As jy n "Ready-to-race' ry, moet jy mos n racer wees, of hoe? :imaposer:

Dis op die 701 wat jy gaan blomme kyk het? #VraMaNet

Who knows....Maybe the T7 demos will be sold comparatively cheap vs a new 790R.

Well in Yamaha and the other's defence - it do seem that the KTM 790's boat got rocked to the point where KTM saw the need for a 890...  :-[ :patch:

KTM saw the need for a 890...

... which ALSO was developed in the time it took to get this unicorn here!
Perhaps the 890's will even arrive before the T7 - which would be another nail in its coffin!
