Those two bikes, at least one was/is the homologation bike, that then did duty at an organized event, and the other one also owned by Yamaha SA, too. They (the bikes) both went back to Jozi, after a brief pit stop in Bloem, afaik.

Some deals coming through on the T7 in autumn here, can be had for around 8300 if you bargain and negotiate, seems yamaha have a bit of stock due to covid etc.

At 8300 thats around 180k and bikes are normally a lil more expensive here new than ZA.

If it's R180k or lower here I'll change my tune for sure.     I don't think it's a bad bike at all, in fact I like it. But whoever runs Yamaha SA should be fired for how long this has taken.  Continents have moved faster.
yamaha SA would have loved to be the first to get them but being on the arse end of the world and only selling next to bugger all new bikes is the reason why we are last on the list

But is that not half the problem?  The big japanese brands seem to view bikes as an afterthought now. They;'re these big auto or engine businesses....Oh BTW we also sell motorcycles if you come round and beg us for one.

It does seem to be like this nowadays. Where are the days when they would make bikes that we actually want at the time, like DT1's, RD350's, etc.?

:eek7:

As ek reg onthou is daar 3 verstellings?

Acerbis Universal SuperMoto fender is the easiest to fit and it looks great. Available in Black (204039001), White (2040390002), Red (2040390227) and Blue (2040390211)

UFO Universal Supermoto is a good option too.
Black (PA01029-001),White (PA01029-041), Red (PA01029-070) and Blue (PA01029-089)

Acerbis 2006-09 YZ/WR is a great choice if you're looking for a full-size fender. White (2040510002), Black (2040510001), Blue (2040510003

Ja, daai is kwaai modder.

:thumleft:

Wys jou hoe sterk is Yamaha plastic, op meeste bikes sou daai plastic fender seker mors af gebreek het  :deal:

So things you need to do to the T7 :

High fender for extreme mud R350 (optional)
Nylon bolts for fork protectors R2
Extra oil in the fork to ride like Pol R50

Now that is what I call low maintenance
