Burp, 2SD just read that, smiled, and continued stirring his coffee...

THis though:
"The Dakar Yammies did not like being over 2500 rpm... :ricky:"
was hilarious!

Ironically, I was to ride with a new ride buddy this weekend, with 660 yammy, but cant as he snapped a clutch cable somehow. It would have been my first time with a 660...

Well, here where it matters, in the public domain, the T7 is the reliable one and the 790 the problem child.

In the short time until KTM discontinued the warranty headache, the 790 gave grave problems. Owners had accounts at hardware stores for sandpaper to "dress" the clutchplates with. :3some:

Looking at KTM  growth figures, this here public domain, dont matter one bit.
I think bikes sell to riders, and not to forum surfers.
Genoeg gepraat nou...begin n nuwe draad oor KTM en braak gal .... O0

So "gal braak" is wanneer jy, soos bigOil, foute van n bike uitwys?  Jy braak lekker gal oor die Dakar YZ's, ne? :pot:

Sommer net so!

Ek toets ry elke nuwe adventure bike op die mark en aan die einde van die dag klim ek maar weer op die GS en geniet hom verder; want hy ry so sag soos Ďn T7 maar net vinniger :deal:

So since the smaller T7 was unfairly put in the same class as the 120cc bigger KTM 790 I guess it will now have to fend off another 100cc, anyway so what price are we looking at now if you want to buy either ?

T7 R199k
890R ?

R235k floor price.

Nobody saying anything on the R320k price of the 890RR??

A 2021 1250GSA is only a couple thousand more than the 890RR  :o

KTM 1290 SAR is selling @R270k - admittedly a bit older tech and no trick suspension but still...

more proof!!

Came across this earlier today, I thought having to remove the airbox on the F800 to change plugs was a pain...only 3 hours worth of effort on the T7. Donít drop it crossing Smitskraal, you may need to camp somewhere :peepwall:

Yeah, only 3 hours but with help of a friend apparently..... that's 6 hours then?
Perhaps we'll hear about helicopter T7-resques near watercrossings soon  :P

How would anyone drop such a sweet handler? :pot:

Lots of bikes out there with pain-to-change spark plugs.

At least it is only once a year for most guys doing an avg of 20k km a year. Still can't argue it's a pain of note and will cost you a minimum of 3 x hours labour plus parts.
Such a shame they discontinued the 660z
