Anyway, the rally seems to be the standard T7 with a paint job.

How often in my 60 year long life, regarding Yamaha's,  have I not heard these words; "the most reliable engine in the world"

So moeg al daarvan. :pot: :pot: O0

I did some riding on Friday on my 250 and realised afterwards that the T7 would have been ideal for this type of Australian conditions which is probably why it is the best seller here. Ride is from Lake Proserpine along the power lines to the Don Valley.

Looks like its time to plump those Aus Dollars onto the local Yamaha dealers counter Ian.

Hahaha Pete! they've got me working full time now and as Billy Connolly would say, that's an awful lot of smarties so maybe my family will let me get away with it someday. I threw the bike away big time on the way home and it was pretty sore but I can't let on otherwise they will all be at me about riding on my own. Used some liquid analgesic on Friday and had the bike rideable for Debbie to go on her Sunday ride. She didn't notice the handlebars were bent. Have to admit the KLX250 is a bit of a dog, I found the suspension will bottom out even on a reasonable dirt road but it is wife friendly and fully road legal as well as being a dirt cheap no mileage second hand bike.

That KLX looks nice Ian! I'm sure with a bit of 'boer maak a plan' you could get the suspension right (though might end up stiff for D?).
What exactly is 'liquid analgesic' Aussie code for?
Scott and I so keen to get out as well, but separated my shoulder a while ago and don't want to make it worse with another gust of gravity, as well as not too keen to be admitted to hospital right now. You know me and hospitals.... I usually get my money's worth....

One thing I see not mentioned by anyone but that was a worry before launch is the fuel tank sitting up high ? I have not heard one single gripe about a top heavy feel. I guess the perfect weight distribution as mentioned by Fortnine negates this. Clever folk at Yamaha.
