I see it's now on the BMW Motorrad site. No price yet.
Seems heated grips are optional.

So it's going to have 3 seat hight options. The 310R is 720mm seat height stock

Yeah look...I'd walk in...see that....drool over it ask the price....if it's in line with the other bikes +-R70k is ask where do I sign.
I love the look of the little GS as well, but a Scrambler version would have me rushing to BMW to get onto that asap.

Interesting (outdated) design on the plastics.

It use the same design cue as the 'old' LC with the two 'wings' that follows the front forks. It would have been SOOOO nice if that silver part looked like the new 2017 LC range.

That looks like a BMW 'trait' as I see the 1200GS Rally (like pic above) also have 'Golden' or is it Indian brake calipers

Here is a nice high detail studio shots with close ups video of the 310GS.
There is no sound in the video.
But you can take a real good look at the bike on it other than seeing it in the flesh I recon.

Indeed and very clever as well. See a market, explore that market.

What they are also good at is building to spec and as such can build a bike / car / TV / PC / whatever to any spec required. So they build a crappy cheapy for a specific market and a good quality, even excellent quality product for a more discerning market. There are already many examples of this.

I think you're flogging a dead horse trying to convince some okes about the whole offshore factory issue. A few have already mentioned that pretty much every brand does this these days, yet in some countries of manufacture they remain convinced it'll be crap.

Fact is, you can tell them that this 310 is being made by a German, in Germany, no in Bavaria nogal (Bayern, if you want to be pedantic) being sold at exactly the same price as currently advertised. i.e. less expensive than its competitors, and they will still hate it with a passion. That's what I see here, and as mentioned already, that is pretty sad.
