FourieKop and I only left CT at 2pm on Thursday. We had to wait at Hamman Motorrad to get his Karoo‚??s fitted.

Bumped into Bobnob at the Engen 1 Stop.

Taliban Adventure Riders

Pitstop at Ronnie‚??s. (OK, a bit off topic‚?¶ but to good not to share) The only other group of people there are sitting at the bar. I walk in with my usual ‚??Hoezit!!!‚?Ě and the one bird turns around. I recognize her face from somewhere. Then it hits me: I had a fling with her about 7 years ago and then just stopped phoning her‚?¶ Shit!!! Before she could say something I looked away and pretended not to have recognized her at all. Funny how your past comes back to bite you in the ass. I mean: what are the odds??? Good ol‚?? Ronnies‚?¶

The obligatory bum-out pic‚?¶

FourieKop & some other dog

Then on to Calitzdorp. We were all booked into the Queens Guesthouse. As we arrive, we make a quick stop at the boozeshop. I ask where the biggest jol in Calitzdorp is and the guy says: ‚??Queens‚?¶‚?Ě !!!!! Okay then!!!! I believe in signs, so we meet up with all the others there.

We packed our shit away and joined the guys around the fire for some kuiering and some major kakpraat‚?¶
What a massive jol!!! They have a big bar wiff pool table. There were also various decorative horse saddles etc. Someone took a very funny pic of me & Go-Girl here, please post it up? There were some funny locals also. (More like the bar scene from Star Wars, hahahaha!!!) I also had to duck & dive some weirdo stalker guy who kept wanting to talk to me about cattle and Brahman beeste and Bosluiskoors etc‚?¶ WTF!!!!???? Freak!!! And Bradley‚??s had to duck & dive the freak‚??s equally freaky wife!!! Bradley‚??s and I ruled the pool table. We let the dominee‚??s daughter and her friend beat us once‚?¶ (Just to keep them interested‚?¶). Everybody else gooied ninja bombs and disappeared. So me and Bradley had a few more dops and closed the bar. Good man!!
I didn‚??t take any pics at Queens, but I know there are some belters. Also some bombs‚?¶ Please post, guys‚?¶

Next morning, early start wiff babelas. Everyone filling up.
Bradley‚??s

GoGirl & Tengai

The rest

This is a really priceless pic of Jericho Rider‚?¶ Geen fietse, net Diesel trucks, asseblief... Hahaha!!!

On to Oudshoorn & De Rust.

GoGirl made quick work of finding the biggest cock oppie dorp‚?¶

I was being an idiot for a change‚?¶

Then the last few kms of tar. OBS Stop‚?¶

Then turn into the Kloof. Thank goodness!!!

FourieKop fly-by

Rassie GS800 fly-by

Then we got to this MASSIVE water crossing‚?¶

Trailrider told us to walk all the water crossings first, so we did. Just to be sure‚?¶

It had nothing to do with stopping for OBS‚?¶

Then on to the first real crossing. This is where GoGirl had the off.
I went through and stopped my bike on the other end and found a lekker grassy patch to sit and wait for some pics.

Rassie GS800 going through. Ground Zero for GG was about 10m behind him in this pic

I saw GoGirl coming and witnessed the whole thing. Got a skrik for the water (just around a blind corner). She touched the front brake and hit the big hole in the road, The forks bottomed and she took one MOERA big knock and fell over. Needless to say I musta looked like Jesus with MX boots running over that water!!!
The bike pinned her down and she was busy taking her lid off. FourieKop managed to stop without hitting her and the 2 of us pulled the bike off her. Blood was gushing out her nose. I thought it was just a normal break. But when I tried to stem the bleeding by holding the bridge, her whole nose separated from her upper lip. I went cold but tried to look normal to not send GG further into shock. Guess Im a bad actor, eh Debs? We just cleaned the wound with water till Bradleys showed up and took over. Respect my brudda!!! Then this lady picked herself up and rode the roughest part of the Kloof, injuries and all. Another 3 hours worth of bumpy & technical riding. Not to mention the big crossings. Much respect to you. And Im glad you are OK.

Some more nice scenic pics

Then on to Smutskraal for some watersports.

This is where Ball & Chain pulled off the most spectacular crossing that I have ever seen. And on a Caponord with road tyres!!! We were all supposed to stay to the right. He came about halfway and swerved over to the left. Goner!!!, we thought‚?¶ Somehow he saved it and crossed the middelmannetjie twice more I think. Everytime we thought he was going swimming, but the Force was strong in him. I don‚??t know whose eyes were bigger when he came past, his , or ours!!! Hahahaha!!!! Rassie GS800 got a video of this. Rassie, you have to get that video on here somehow.

Then on to the really fun and technical climbing bit. I was loving this and rode ahead all the way to the top of the plateau.
Got some nice pics of game while I waited.

Some Fly-by‚??s

Then down the other side. Some awesome scenes!!!

FourieKop

Bobnob

Baby crossings

Then arrived at the bash. Had loads of fun and I have lots more to say, but...

Will post the rest of my pics later the week. Have some personal issues to sort out over the next 2 days.

Might not be able to get to internet access.

Hugs & kisses
