Triumph Explorer 1200 suddenly cut out

While riding a very bad dirt road for about 120 km my Triumph Explorer 1200 suddenly cut out with the engine management and traction control lights on. At that stage I didn't know it but the wires for the black unit that apparently monitor the motorcycle  lean angle moved out of its channel under the battery and the battery then started to knock the plastic covering off the wires. The wires then touched it other letting the cpu believe that the motorcycle was busy falling and cut all power. As a precaution to other owners just attached them securely in the channel or else you will also be stranded like me with no cell phone coverage and 150 km from the nearest tar road.
