Akkedis Pass (Richtersveld)

This is probably the most popular of the 7 passes within the national park and is also the most centrally located. There is nothing unduly difficult requiring 4WD on this pass, but the going is slow (and hot unless you visit in mid-winter when we did and even then it was 24C) and like everything in the Richtersveld, it is the corrugations that get folk rattled. (Pun intended).
