How to post a link to a YouTube video...
« on: November 28, 2016, 05:13:00 pm »
Added a YouTube link button to posts to make adding a YouTube video to a post much easier.

Take a look at the image attachment to see how to use it.

Something like this:

Does the old way still work? I do prefer the videos to be embedded a bit smaller. I have done it and can see the video in the post, but it wouldn't star playing for some reason.

Hmm, it doesn't work - the new way does (but I really do not like the huge window - with slower connection the youtube automatically goes for crappy quality that just shows in the big window), but the old one embeds, but wouldn't start.

Schalk, can you please post here code that you embedded for the smaller video as text, so that I can check if I'm doing something wrong?

I see - it is probably problem with the Adobe flash drive in my Safari - on Firefox it works.

Thanks for helping with this Schalk!

That looks to be something the YouTube video owner embedded inside his video itself...

Regarding size you can maks your videos smaller by specifying width= or height= inside the tag as far as I can recall.

I get the same warning on my video and I didn't put it in.

Regarding the size, that works with the old way (that is why I want to use it). Does it work also with the new [youtube] tag? I didn't see it anywhere.

The video works from your link, but doesn't from mine (at least on Safari). Hmmm - I suspect some flash issues with Safari, but wonder how posting it from IE resolved that. ANd the old link worked on Firefox - go figure. The Adobe flashplayer security issues are probably screwing me around.
