HELP! Side stand switch!
« on: December 29, 2016, 06:08:43 am »
Hi guys. Need some advice. Yesterday I put my side stand out and couldn't get the bike to start thereafter. I opened up the switch and see the spline on the switch has sheared off causing the switch on the stand not to know if it's up or down and this not allowing the engine to start. I rotated the switch and that has sorted it temporarily. (I'm on holiday in Knysna!)

My question though is that I now have an orange warning triangle on the dash display and the little engine warning light showing on the LCD display.

Does anyone know if this could be related or unrelated and if I should really try get the bike to a dealer to check?

Appreciate the advice here!
One Life Live it! (is what I should do...!)

Solo travellers should not be considered unsociable, they are expressing their independence until they choose to do otherwise.
