A special place
« on: January 10, 2017, 10:13:26 am »
About 15 years back we were very fortunate to purchase a seaside property in Kasouga which lies between Kenton on Sea and Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape, it is a very small "village" comprising of about 140 dwellings none of which are any shops/bottlestores or garages so apart from limited odd guest houses there is no commercial activity. The downside being a 12 km trip to Kenton or 16km trip to PA when one needs essentials (beer/smokes/meat etc ;D) the upside is that there is pretty much zero crime of any sort due to no shops encouraging farm workers and loiterers and in the time we have been visiting Kasouga I have yet to either lock my vehicle or the house! Its a stunning enviroment for kids to grow up in as it has very little traffic and a warm safe shallow swimming lagoon and my kids absolutely love the place! The beaches are wide and flat and provide many kms of entertaiment...the latest among us is cycling on Fatbikes - awesome! Due to the lagoon being currently full we are forced to launch boats for deep sea fishing at Kenton or Port Alfred and this is another activity myself and the youngster really enjoy!
I just thought to share a few images......

Wow, that is indeed special. Looks so tranquil.

You wouldn't catch me surfing there though, I'd be too sh1t scared of the 'snappers' out there...

Very very nice.

With out December holiday in Dana Bay we took some time to visit the small places around the area.

We discovered Boggemsbaai.  Close to home base.

Also no shops to attract unwanted visitors and a PERFECT beach for swimming.

Every day we rode the 22 km to go and enjoy the piece and beauty of this place.

I WOULD RATHER BE AN HONEST ASSHOLE .... THAN A FLIPPEN LIAR !

Any places for sale?  Prices maybe as well?
