Harold at bikegear got the import license for Heidenau. It's a German tyre that got good ratings in Euro. The price will be better than TKC's and it's a kind of 50/50 tyre. The current sizes he got is only the 140/80/17, the 150/70/17 for the GS's and 950/990 will be available in November. The Vara's V-Stroms will also use it.

He only got in a few pairs for now, I picked up a pair while at him last week for the bash. He says a 140 rear for the KTM will be in the region of a R1k, and the front R600 something. Apparently they give good miles.
I think if functionality is higher on a guy's list than poser value of tyres, these might be the one.

K76, I fitted this one, it feels just like the Tourance, very hard tyre, most propably will last quite well.
