Much prefer that Touratech jobbie. Parts bin, lash up, whatever. Works for me.

Bank manager approval? I can't even afford a bank manager!

Maar dit is my keuse...

I love the colours. The GS - oil cooled anyway - makes some nasty noises from the shaft when the going gets tough. Does the trophy do the same? I imagine so.

Not sure. It is made to move so maybe you are hearing when it reaches the bottom or top of the motion.  What type of nasty noises? I do ride with earplugs mostly but i've never heard any weird/nasty noises. I think if you can hear those noises above the gravel / dirt and engine you might want to get it check out  imho?

I think it is the lash in the final drive gearing that clunks a bit.

Nee wat. For 230K you can take the trophy, replace the suspension with proper aftermarket setup, kit out with proper crashbars, belly pan etc, and still have money left over to actually take it on a trip or 6... Rally looks great though...

So let me get this straight.

The bike that has a better suspension, stripped of some bits, better 'lectronics, designed for more "hard-core" dirt roads, is actually KG HEAVIER than the LC Touring version??
