5 of us did a 3 day ride from Durban through Lesotho and back to Durban in October 2016 and i haven't had time to post, so here it is.
Many a night in the workshop talking kak and planning this adventurous ride on our old Donkeys. We decided on a date, booked our leave and prepped the bikes ( services, cargo nets etc) For some of us this was our first trip so we were overly prepared and bikes were naturally over packed. Tinned food, trail mixes, 6 tubes between us and a million cable ties.
The night before we left arrived and excitement was an understatement.
Our plan was to be on the road before before the traffic but as usual last minute adjustments, packing and there's always those who hadn't filled up. We hit the road by 8:30 and were on our way.
The bikes were:
3 x XTt500's
1 x XR500
1 x Tenere
Starting point Caltex Bulwer Road clocks on 0km, tanks full and the okes were keen.
