Carb spaying fuel from the top

Hi fellow dogs. Can someone please point me in the right direction. The elbow on the front carb was leaking so I changed the 3 o rings put it back together. When I took it for a spin it didn't run nicely. Opened the airbox lid. When you turn the bike on fuel is spraying out of the carb. When I pull the choke it stops spraying. Any ideas why it's doing this?
