A semi good weekend for me! I managed to remove the suspension and I dont think it took even 2 hrs.
I started with the front and all went well till I had to loosen the stearing damper that clamps around the fork. A bit of a missi9n but after some contortionist escapades I won. Seems liie the shock that spilled most oil had a completely missplaced dust seal?
After that was the rear, I removed the wheel and then that one mudguard. Then saw its only the top and bottom bolt to remove-yap, I have never done something like this. Both were relatively easy though with my top off course being bent. (Bent bolt makes me feel like a normal 1190 rider now! If that makes sense...)
The bottom bolt was easy to get out also but the shock was stuck in its place. I asked around on whatsapp but seemed like I had to pry or hammer it out. I thought a bit and then had epiphany! Check the photo.
Oh and my bike looks like that after a wash.
Now I just need to tie up with superfoxi and get progressives fitted. Just wish I could get more travel as well.
