Totally agree though, they do scratch the tank, didn’t think you would mind. I did, which is why I used it once on my SE. The 1190R had tank decals so couldn’t scratch it.

But yeah, quick release is awesome, agreed!

As ek so n premium fiets sien met fokken oxford heated grips wil ek in my mondjie opgooi!

I actually have a plan with those oxfords. Seems like they can be connected straight on the bikes standard connections. Removing the oxford control. Still have to verify this though

should work perfectly without the oxford controller - the KTM grips are about 10 Ohm per grip, i.e. 5 Ohm when both connected in parallel

Renrew I see nothing wrong with saving R2k and in exchange for doing an hours work, if the Oxfords work then they work, the bike has a purpose and its not to shine behind some lights in a glass case.

armpump I don't know how you do it, if you just searched for that link or have a huge database somewhere. But thanks. Seems very straightforward. I just need some time to work on my bike now.

I am having screws removed out of my leg tomorrow. I broke it a year ago. So here is to hoping to be booked off for a few days but to still be physically capable to work on the bike.

Hi molt3n

When in doubt, flat out!!!

Of is jy net a lazy guy?

Daar sal altyd issues wees moenie daaroor worry nie.

I have since tightened the head unit bolts. one was lose and another stripped so its only a temporary fix. I will look into it some other time when the unit goes loose again, strip and strengthen.
I also just got feedback from Bikegear regarding replacing the crashbar brackets. One option is having it flown in and the other is receiving it with their next shipment from Germany. That being end April 2018! I have requested the price for both options (why does one have to even ask for a price...)

Yesterday I started planning a day ride and shared it with a buddy. Upon his reply I only noticed it will be 1300km for the day. Damn. So I will have to make another plan. I want to ride the 2spoor on the Botswana border.

My rim have arrived at KTM, so next up on the tale of my bike is to remove front wheel and send to KTM. Cant wait to be back to tubeless.

Guys, are there any youtube clips or tips somewhere on installing the rubber band in the rim for tubeless? I forgot to send the rubber gasket back with the rim and tps so they did not remind me or ask about it, and reckoned I went through all this trouble just so that I can stick to riding with tubes. Oh, and the tyre pressure sensor also did not come back.

I am furious, but mostly with myself....

And Philip who was buying scrambler panels with me, I think they got his order now wrong for the 3rd time
