Stellenbosch Accomodation
« on: January 17, 2017, 10:19:40 am »
Wondering if the dogs can help? Ive looked and looked and cant find reasonable accom in Stellies!! With my daughter there we find ourselves heading that way more often and its fine with just myself and wife to stay at Guest houses or Hotels but hectic on the pocket with a few more people! With Wilddog connections dont you guys know of somebody that possibly has a garden cottage/flat that rents out? Im there with my brother and a 2 x friends early March again and love to find a 2 bedroom flat or similar. I dont want to stay in somebodys house and disrupt them either so needs to be a seperate building, even a farm etc within a reasonable distance would work
Cheers,
Andre

Etienne2T  has a flat in Stellenbosch which he rents out on short terms, i.e. weekends or just a few days. Could be ideal, give him a shout. If you can't get hold of him on here, try him on facebook "Etienne Van Rensburg" . He is mostly out of the country

Would Franschhoek be an option? 30 minutes down the road.

Bensien - Wife came home today with a Samsung 3D LED TV and 3D Blue Ray player with built in wi-fi and 1TB hard drive. What else do I need?
Kaboef - A cheaper wife.

We stayed in Beau Belle, +-10 min outside town. Very nice, peaceful, and reasonable priced (last March). Also convenient if you're heading out Somerset West/Cape Town way on day adventures!  :thumleft:

Stellenbosch get a high volume of international tourists throughout most of the year - little difference between summer, winter etc, and although visitors usually will be able to find accommodation when they need, it's nearly always at a premium  due to high occupancy rates.

Hi Edgy,

when we were in South Africa we stayed at De Kraal Estate - situated on Helshoogte Road near Pniel about 11 km outside Stellenbosch for a month and a half until mid December 2016, while our daughter was doing a postdoc at Stellenbosch University.

Amazing place -  give Amanda Ferreira a call: Phone: 021 885 2634 (www.dekraalestate.com).

Cheers,
