Hey guys

After a good deal of lobbying from the petrol-heads over in the racing section , we have been able to add a 'Adventure' Class to the 2017 West Coast Baja. Their is a public holiday in the date range. The plan is to get to Port Nolloth on Friday. Race/ Ride Saturday,Sunday, Monday. Drive back home on Tuesday. It is very family friendly. Their will be various spectator points. You can rub shoulders and learn from great competitors and even Dakar 2018 competitors.

The area of exploration is over here:
https://www.google.co.za/maps/place/Port+Nolloth/@-28.772712,16.4483465,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x1c3f39808758d76b:0x3b8a69e675ecf8eb!8m2!3d-28.8656132!4d17.1011931

We have the permission from the Richtersveld CPA and pay per entrant for the usage of the area for the period of the event. It's a win-win. They get some much needed funds for the community and we get to race epic routes in a terrain that looks like Morrocco! Hence the reason its also not the cheapest event out there. The area is extremely remote. If we want it there, we need to bring it there!

You will require some sand and rock riding skills. But we will not send you up a goat track nor sand-dune. If you have done some Country-Trax or other courses with your steed and can stand and ride sand and so forth, you should be fine!

You will not be racing but will only receive a finishers medal on completion of all three stages. You cannot ask for, nor will you be given your times. If you need to prove your speed then choose another class!  >:D

You can however bring whatever has wheels and a engine (See the shop for details). No roadworthy required. You need to be older than 18 if solo. If you are 17 and a parent is doing the race with you, then you are welcome to enter. You require a minimum of a MSA Single Event License from [email protected].

What you get for your moola is over

Would be nice to see the 1 liter bikes back in action.  :thumleft:

This is you first step into racing EPIC terrain. No gates, no people, very few animals. It's what you have been dreaming of. To end it off we will be having a major 'Opskop' at the Scopia Inn Hotel in Port Nolloth!

The rider in the poster below is of 'Rynet' during the 2012 Amageza. She still holds two records with Amageza Racing: Biggest Bike & Only lady rider to finish a Amageza! So if she could ride the terrain we threw at her on her 1200 GSA.....  ;)
