Glad you're OK.

Seems that this is happening more and more.

Not quite rear ending but another thing that gets my blood boiling is cagers passing you on the left while standing waiting for cars to pass before turning right. On Saturday this cager (in abig 4x4) was so close to me I am sure that if I didnt tilt the bike to the right he would have knocked the handlebars. Eishh.
