Need some advice please guys (and girls)
I use my bike daily to commute to work (rain, sun, hail - you get the picture)
I have a top box which is great but definitely feel I need more "space". I'm not a big fan of back-packs etc and thus am looking into panniers.
I also want to be able to lock the panniers and thus soft luggage isn't an option here.
What are you thoughts on the following two options, or do you have any other recommendations?

The BMW option is much cheaper however I prefer the look of the Motech Trax.
Also in terms of dust and water proofing, I would imagine the Motech would outshine the Vario option.
My BMW top box is also fading due to it's daily use - would the Vario do the same?
I do however like that the Vario panniers can "extend" so you could make your pannier larger/smaller at will.
Also for the odd Lesotho trip etc, would the Vario hold out? Motech just looks much stronger etc.
