Hi Guys and gals,
Not sure if this has been a topic before but couldn't see anything(didn't look past first page...)
My question is about the BMWGS650 Dakar.
As far as my knowledge goes, you get two types of 650's One being 649cc and the other being 650 body but 798cc.
First off, what year did this start from, is it so, how do you know the difference etc.
Then I recently got notified that ALL 650's are in fact 798cc and all you need to do is change some kind of chip from 649cc to 798cc and boom you have a 798cc gs650.
Can you wise guys please help this poor pilgrim in order for me to make and informed decision in my next buy.
I know there are other bikes that might be better or similar like the Tenere(heavier) the ktm690(expensiver) ktm640(expensiver) F800(expensiver)
ktm990(expensiver) Klr(NO) dr650(NO) xr650(Love Honda but, NO). So please can I just have advice on the bmw question and no recommendations, unless they are worthy then give them. haha
