So yesterday I decided to do the long overdue valve gap check. Finding TDC was a bitch due to all the marks on the flywheel. I eventually resorted to feeling where the rocker arms had play to find TDC. Anyway, the intake valve gap was tight as Chucky predicted. After the adjustment the bike feels like it's pulling a bit better and it starts way easier as well.
Chucky also gave a tip on kick starting a 4-stroke. Work the kick starter until you feel the start of compression. Then trap it a little bit more until you feel slight movement. Then lift your leg and kick through to the bottom. I was surprised at the result, but it may have had something to do with the valve adjustment too. :thumleft: :thumleft:
