Directions - turn west on the P205 between Newcastle & Ladysmith (approx 33km south of Newcastle), follw the signs
road condition - gravel with concrete strips near the top
difficulty - beginners should be able to cope in dry conditions
altitude - 1900m at top - rises steeply from about 1400m
history - no idea, can't even work out why the pass was built at all : doesn't seem to be a direct route form anywhere to anywhere else
general - great fun, spectacular views, well worth a ride.
