Thinking of going back to finish my ride, had to cut it short at Van Zyls because of a bike issue. The Kalahari gets hot so riding in winter may be better plus the track next to Botswana border is quite overgrown so winter would be better.

We leave on the 16th of June public holiday
16th - GP to Bray +-580km camp at Tapama
17th - Bray to Van Zyls +- 400km stay at Van Zyls's hotel
18th - Van Zyl's to Hotazel via Askham and Tswalu road +- 400km (missed out on this loop last time)
19th - Hotazel to GP +- 420km
The days are quite long and day time short and will be doing a lot of dirt but should be all good. I ride normal speed. Anyone interested ? Was thinking 6 guys or so as it will get quite dusty.
