Hi guys,

I'm from UK about to head up Africa (cape town to London). Does anyone know any companies who I can insure my bike with for the trip?

Still no luck sadly, even cross-country only insure neighbouring countries. What do people do when they go on big trips from here with all their kit!? There must be some way of insuring it all!?

Others have asked about insurance for travelers and unless you are traveling in the EU, USA or Canada maybe Australia and New Zealand it is not going to happen. It is just a risk we take as we travel. Even the liability coverage they make you buy at many boarders is of questionable value. If you can not risk loosing it you need to stay home, and that would be no fun at all. So buy your required liability insurance so you can get out of the country if you are in a crash with someone and go for it.
