interesting bike outside our store this morning, did Cape to Cairo, as well as London to Beijing (vi Mongolia) well  kitted/sorted, we love the idea for carrying long tyre levers on the chain guard: low. out of the way, yet quickly available! Enjoy

If that's a fuel tank up front then it must have crazy range. Looks like it did those trips two up as well  :3some:

The tyre lever idea is great but I would only do it with a metal chain guard like that. If your plastic one takes a knock and snaps off you might end up with tyre levers in your spokes :amazon:
Bensien - Wife came home today with a Samsung 3D LED TV and 3D Blue Ray player with built in wi-fi and 1TB hard drive. What else do I need?
Kaboef - A cheaper wife.

I'm a big fan of the F800GS - seriously underrated - particularly in terms of the general insatiable desire by 'adventure' bikers to get the biggest bikes possible.  Starting to see plenty mega-mileage 800's.  Probably one of the best allrounders out there - especially if you tour solo.  Great bike - not surprising at all that it has completed these trips.
