Ek het onlangs my 450 verkoop aan 'n mede Wilddog en nou wil hy nie start nie. Ek voel soos 'n hond huidiglik en nodeloos om te sê, het ons ooreengekom om die transaksie om te swaai.
Ek het egter raad nodig asseblief.
Geskiedenis:
Ek het die fiets op die forum gekoop Augustus 2016. Ten tye het die fiets gestart. Hy het egter lank gestaan en ek het hom seker 2 keer gery aangesien my oorspronklike planne met hom verander het.
Die koper het kom kyk en, omdat die battery swak was (nuwe battery is saam gegee) het ek hom met seker die derde skop brand gemaak. Selfs ek was verbaas met hoe vinnig hy gevat het. Toets rit is gedoen en die transaksie is beklink.
Die fiets het toe weer so 3 weke gestaan voor die koper hom die naweek kom haal het. Daar gekom wou die fiets niks weet van start nie. Hy het hom toe brand gesleep en hy loop toe normaal. Wil egter niks weet van kick of e start nie.
Ek gaan die fiets die naweek haal en dan van 'n kant af begin, maar het sommer nou al raad nodig.
Onder is dinge waarna ek sal kyk, uittreksel van ons gesprek die naweek om die fout te probeer opspoor:
Volgens my kan daar net 3 goed verhoed dat hy start, wat ek op die volgende wyse sal check:
Spark
Draai die spark plug uit en koppel hom aan die lead. Skop die bike en as die spark plug vuur is dit reg.
Fuel
Ontkoppel die fuel hose êrens tussen die kraantjie en carburetor en maak kraantjies oop. As die petrol uitkom, behoort dit in die carb te kom. Party van die goed se kraantjies, veral op die tenk, werk clockwise vir oop.
Electrics
Meer kompleks, maar toets die on/off switch terwyl die spark plug uit is. Skop terwyl in die aan en af posisie om te kyk of die spark saam met die switch ook aan en af is.
WHAT TO DO WHEN THE ENGINE IS “FLOODED”
In the event of a fall, more fuel than necessary may get into the engine. In order to "pump the engine free", pull the hand decompression lever, fully rev up the engine, actuate the kickstarter 5 to 10 times or actuate the E-starter 2 times for 5 seconds each. Then, start the engine as des- cribed above.
If the engine fails to start, unscrew the spark plug and dry it.
NOTE: The carburetor has an accelerator pump. Every time you open the throttle, fuel will be injected into the intake pas- sage. When starting, be sure that you open the throttle com- pletely only once.

Loop hy dan normaal as hy aan die gang is?
Ek begin wonder of dit nie die pilot jet in die carb is nie. Enige bike wat staan is geneig om 'n klomp stront in die carb op te bou met die petrol wat 'taai' raak.

I wish I could say that it was some major issue, just so I wouldn't feel so dumb. The other night I sprayed a bunch of carb cleaner in there and let it sit. Drained it and checked the drain plug. It was full of nasty goo. Pulled the pilot again clean, replaced w my other spare. Pulled the main...completely filled with shite. Cleaned it readjusted everything and started kicking. I was just about to bin the whole bike and buy something brand new when it sputtered
I was over joyed and started kicking like a bastard when she fired up and ran like I we she could.
And the cherry on top was after she idled for a few minutes, I shut her down and just touched the 'lectric boot and fired right up.
Ons het wel die olie bietjie vol gemaak voor hy weg is.
Dit wil voorkom of ons dalk bietjie ge overfill het:
since my last post I have noticed oil running out of the head bearing area onto the back of my front fender.....appears to be coming from my breather......I am riding on a TT track and reving higher than I normally do on a super moto track.....so I guess I am putting too much oil in her....interestingly enough the oil level gets to the lower half of the window and stops blowing by onto the fender.....just another reason to follow the good book.....
