The modern dual sport bike, like the 1000AT, the 1090/1190, etc are wonderful in the regard that you can regulate power to you own liking, in a limited way.
Nice to have quite a bit of power on the open road, even though it will make you part of a law-breaking criminality. >
The sad part is that electronics have not been able to adjust a quarter-ton duallie to a lighter one when you hit the dirt. :3some:
