Normal except on brights then they flip out ! Made a tiny adjustments to lower the beam as it was a bit on the high side than the stock bulb.

Not so fancy, but I trim all my leavers with a hacksaw.  You can do it on the bike and round the edges with a file.

You do know those are there as a safety snap point.

Energy in a fall also rather snap lever than master cylinder side as well.
cut 1mm deep slot across the lever then will snap where youve cut it

Managed to get 25.5km/L and the 701 around 20km/l same riding speeds.

It is interesting you mention this, I find the same.  My 690 is considerably more fuel economical than the 701 at similar type of riding.  Figures not very different from the above.

So after the Parys trip i did notice some light dust color in the airbox and that was with a unifilter and lots of grease. After close inspection you can clearly see that the plastic top part "lid" bowing in the centre so i made this 2mm steel flange to keep it from bending. Will see if it helps.

Wow I have been think about doing this for a few weeks now. Please let us know if you can make a few more of those. How well does it fit with the air box lid where it clips in.

You have to press it down and in a bit but with some practice you get the hang of it. I had to trim the filter top corner at 45 degree about 5mm. With the extra pressure on the filter i cannot see it passing dust again. Will test as soon as i get a chance to ride in the dirt again.
Will work out a price for a few sets.

I have asked Factory racing if i need to load the evo map for this setup and was told it is not necessary if i keep the std lid on the airbox. Will phone Trax ktm in Pta today and ask them.

I'm a brand new owner of a second-hand 690, having reluctantly sold my 990 in favour of something more maneuverable.

I am astounded by the poor design and quality of the airbox on the 690. In fact, in general, by comparison with the 990, there's a distinct whiff of curry in the air. The 990 is built and runs like a Rolls Royce.

Anyway, c' est la vie.  MXDURO, please can you put me on your list of those needing one of your elegant steel brackets.

Merci
