Coming from a more dirt focused equation of riders that's being slowly overhauled by the latest - greatest in motorcycle technology in the air-cooled 650 class I have question. How is your KLR? - how are you doing?
Myself - mostly persuaded by XR (Honda) and R80 (BMW) air-cooled technologies would like to believe that a KLR may bridge the gap that I am looking for. Solid basic bike that will cover the miles with no fuss and still do
a bit of offroad miles when asked or maybe not? - but I would like to give it a try anyway to know better. If I was gonna go from Durbs and ride to Windhoek - then ride around Namibia for a week or two the KLR versus XR
seems to be the better of the two for the long road.
Any dogs out here Outer West DBN side on easy! gravel cruise that would like to compare notes. Riding XR650L lekka tuned to swop for a short ride on your KLR for a shebeen beerstop or two. Hansa 1/4 are free....
