I've only ever used etrexs on the bike and would recommend them - depending on your eyesight!!

I used to be able to read the screen easily but now, not so much. I gotta use cycling bi-focals to see the etrex now. PITA.

But, the etrex can be used on the fly, in any weather, with any gloves.

I certainly wouldn't change it for another one now as I'm getting to the end of my adventure career.

I have the 30 right now, bought through a 'special' a while back, but woulda bought the 20 if buying off-the-shelf.
Don't let fear hold you back ..... take it with you!

Wouldn't use anything else.
Rule #12// The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

Works lekker!

Only "problem" with the Etrex is the small screen.

But then, being small, can easy fit in your pocket. So no worries that it might get stolen off the bike.  :thumleft:
