Badly injured young Impala. No idea what happened. Running with the heard and showing no signs of the injury affecting it.

Apparently jackal and dogs / wild dogs gang together to hunt down animals, and they sommer bite chunks out of them on the run, rather than waste time and effort killing it first to take a bite.

Happened to sheep in the Karoo too, during the droughts

No predators in our estate.... apart from a couple of 4m pythons
