Honda CRF 1000L fairing: mysterious crack
« on: April 23, 2017, 11:52:37 am »
Hi All

Washing my bike today - after doing some riding on tar and light dirt roads on the weekend - I noticed a small crack in the fairing around the headlamp. It doesn't seem to be consistent with a stone hitting the fairing and I'm at a bit of a loss as to the cause. Has anybody else experienced similar? What would be your recommendation in any case, should I use glue on it to hopefully stop it from worsening? Not sure what to do, any advice would be welcome.

Thanks!

Judging by the surounding scratches it looks like something may have hooked the pannel causing the crack?
I would remove the fairing and reinforce the back with epoxy.
Always keep your "kant" clean !
