Bike advice

Got 6-8 weeks trip planned to Kenya and back for sept/Oct looking at 2 bikes F650GS dakar and Xchallenge. Now F650GS I have owned and know about it. But seen a full kitted Xchallenge but my concerns are the weight it can handle on the rear. I will be using light haRd luggage and a duffel bag on top. I will be camping 90% of the time. Will the Xchallenge handle the load, or would a have to modify or reinforce the rear? I don't want to get a big bike. Your views would be appreciated.
