I have a tremendous soft spot for Suzuki's water buffalo, flying kettle or Waterbus, as they were also affectionately known.  Some 15kg heavier than the 1972 Kawasaki Z900 Superfour, the GT
was heavy. Braking was not the best, even back then and handling dodgy.

But did we notice? NO!! We rode it just like our hero Bazza, and Chapman's peak was my favourite racetrack, since I lived in Greenpoint then. It also had severely limited cornering clearance.

I have, in the period 1979-1987, owned four of these majestic machines, all of them converted to some form of Cafe racer, one even fitted with monoshock.

The one in the photo I bought, all converted, from a guy at Ysterplaat air force base, if I remember correctly.

Can anyone perhaps place it? Like, who owned it first, etc?
