When buying tires become farking expensive

Went this Friday afternoon to fit road tires â?? as commuting on the knobblies is just on on for me.  Stop alla windgat at CIT, take the lid off, and put in on the mirror.  Ask where the workshop is, fly away â?? helmet goes flying that way.  Overall, credit card maxes - had to buy a new lid - made a arse of myself in front of all the super bike dudes, and ruined one perfectly good BM helmet.  How farking stupid can one be?  Note: this is rhetorical, keep comments on this statement to yourself.
